Philosophy
To play a sport has many advantages, not only medically but also socially. Many times sport has an important social role so that you can put evereyday stress aside.
It´s no secret that the body, physically and mentally, feels good to train and be in movement, but it is important that training is carried out at the right level and in the right way to avoid injury.
Injury leads to suffering for the athlete, both in a shortterm and long term. An injury leads to loss of important "active" time on the field and may instead lead to more time off the field.
Injury also increases the risk for the athlete to loose the joy of participating in sports. The injury also means an increased risk of new injuries. To avoid injury it is therefore essential that we learn to practice injury prevention.
During my years as a sportsman, it was, in my opinion, far too many young people and seniors who had to quit their sporting careers prematurely because of injuries. With the right knowledge and correct assessment, many of these injuries can bee avoided.
Sports are one of the finest and most joyful activities for us. The short-term and long-term outcomes of sports is invaluable.
By practicing injury prevention athletes can increase there chances of staying healthy and therefore increase there time on the field instead of, off the field!
